The melon production of Mercomancha will have the 25,000 tons in a surface of 750 hectares. This figure means an increase of a 10 per cent with respect to the last campaign. Being one of the main suppliers is the reason of this increase.
The seeds of toad skin used by Mercomancha for growing its melon include a big range of varieties: Sancho, Infante, Seda, Trujillo and C 15, among others, in order to complete all the cycles.
Up to now the melon export is not a priority, centring its commercial objectives on the Spanish market; thanks to that Mercomancha is one of the suppliers of Mercadona.
